Cultural Association

The Cultural Association of Analipsi was founded in 1985 with the aim of the cultural, spiritual development and upgrading of the region but also with a general interest in the cultural events and traditions of Greece.
Founding members of Kasapakis George , Kasapakis Ioannis , Kouroupakis Emmanuel, Krasanakis Adamantios.
The goal of the association is to raise the spiritual and cultural level of the members of the Association and the residents of the settlement of Analipsi Hersonisos.

The association places particular emphasis on the activation of all members - residents of our village to achieve its goals and work, which includes our involvement in various cultural and social activities

 Over the years of its operation, the Association has organized and participated in a multitude of events and participates in all the cultural events of the region, with the traditional Cretan festivities of the Ascension (Analipsi nameday) every May and the feast of Agia Marina on July 17, which it has been co-organizing with the Church council for years now. This year, more than 500 people attended the feast, thus making it one of the most important events in the area.

At the same time and throughout the year, various activities are organized such as excursions, visits to museums, archaeological sites and religious destinations, combining in the best way education with fun and good company. It also organizes environmental actions such as the cleaning of Analipsi beach in collaboration with the schools of our village.

Every summer from the middle of June to the end of September, in collaboration with the Municipality of Hersonissos, it organizes cultural events in the village square such as theatrical performances, shadow theaters (karagiozis) and other cultural activities.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that for many years the association published in Greek the local newspaper of our village, the "Voice of Analipsi ", but in recent years it has suspended, we have uploaded several of these publications , if you know Greek you may read them.
